first Shanti “mini-routine”
As amazing as a new meditation technique, and particularly Shanti’s meditation technique, is — I’m struggling with discipline. The mantra practice is so nice because the boundaries and guidelines are quite clear — these syllables for this many repetitions, done. I did a first run of the mini-routine he lays out in his book tonight, which includes breathing meditation, yoga, and introspection. Only, I still don’t quite understand all the terms (step one is to come to a peaceful place and breathe in Sat Chit Anand) so it’s unfocused. My “just going for it” sits were AMAZING. But, as you can see, I didn’t keep up every day.
Ugh. I’m planning to go to my first Satsang tomorrow, hopefully it will help get me on track.
